OEM Metal Processing & Steel Chair Frames – KARUD

Production plant of KARUD, metal chair frame manufacturer in Poland

KARUD is a metal chair frame manufacturer and OEM metal processing partner based in Poland. As a specialised competence centre, we produce high-quality chair frames and metal structures in steel for the European B2B market. As a flexible partner, we bring the entire manufacturing process together under one roof — from prototype development through machining to finished series delivery.

Integrated value chain — everything from a single source: For our customers, this means maximum efficiency and minimal logistics risk. Instead of coordinating several suppliers for tube bending, forming, welding, and surface coating, you get a complete solution from KARUD:

  • Development & 3D scanning: digitising samples and building well-founded prototypes.
  • Machining: CNC tube bending, tapering, milling, punching and drilling.
  • Joining: high-precision manual and robotic welding with clean weld-seam finishing.
  • Surface technology: in-house powder coating and professional electroplating finishes through a reliable partner network.
  • Assembly: ready-to-integrate assembly of flanges, mechanisms and glides.

25+ Years as a Metal Chair Frame Manufacturer

Our company was founded in 1995 and has been manufacturing continuously for the European market since 1998. For nearly three decades we’ve been supplying renowned furniture brands and contract furnishers across Europe.

  • Over 2,000,000 frames manufactured: since our founding, we’ve produced more than 2 million metal frames in a wide range of designs.
  • Up to 100,000 units per year: at peak times, up to 100,000 chair and armchair frames leave our plant annually.
  • Invisible quality, everyday life: millions of people across Europe have already sat on chairs or armchairs whose stable metal foundation was manufactured at KARUD.

Long-Standing Supplier to the european market

A large share of our series production has gone directly to customers in Europe for many years. We know the high standards European B2B buyers expect regarding on-time delivery, packaging standards, and transparent documentation. Thanks to our direct connection to Central European transport routes, we guarantee a reliable, well-established supply chain for your series production.

Craft Tradition Meets Modern Industrial Structure

Even before the Second World War, leading European furniture brands recognised the craft potential of our region and relocated important production sites here. That historical decision laid the foundation for a unique regional know-how in wood and metal processing.

Today our team of around 60 highly skilled employees carries that tradition forward. We combine deep-rooted manufacturing knowledge with state-of-the-art CNC technology:

  • Experienced skilled workers: our welders, CNC operators, grinders and locksmiths bring years of hands-on experience, in some cases passed down across generations.
  • Scalable company size: with 60 skilled staff, we offer the ideal balance — large enough to handle extensive series projects on schedule, and personal enough to respond to individual special requests.

Certified Raw Material & Reliable Logistics

Outdoor crane for unloading raw steel tube material

For the best results in OEM metal processing, we rely exclusively on certified precision steel tubes of European origin (including cold-rolled grades such as ZStE420 / HC420LA / Form500C with increased strength). Thanks to our own unloading infrastructure and direct raw-material supply chains, we ensure uninterrupted production and excellent bending and surface quality.

As a broadly positioned competence centre, we continuously invest in our own machinery to guarantee maximum independence from external suppliers:

  • CNC tube bending & profile processing: precision bending of round tubes, oval profiles, and solid material to the tightest tolerances.
  • Tube tapering: our own tube-forming machines for elegant, tapered chair legs, including CNC end-finishing.
  • Hexagon 3D laser scanning (reverse engineering): have a physical sample or an old frame but no CAD drawing? We scan your part directly on site and produce the digital manufacturing documentation.
  • In-house powder coating: full control over aesthetics and corrosion protection (RAL palette, fine texture, matte and gloss finish).

Cross-Industry Experience & Project Diversity

As Metal Chair Frame Manufacturer – the furniture industry is our main specialisation, but we also bring our OEM metal processing expertise to other demanding sectors. A strong example of our manufacturing capability is our role as development partner on a technically complex door frame structure for SAM, the Polish electric vehicle.

This broad experience shows our ability to adapt quickly to demanding geometries, tight tolerances, and individual customer requirements.

Scalable Series Production, Tailored to You

We flexibly adapt to your project requirements and batch sizes:

  • Prototypes & small series: flexible realisation of functional samples and small series from just a few individual pieces by arrangement.
  • Series production: reliable capacity for series orders from 25 to over 1,000 units.
  • Assembly-ready delivery: precisely positioned mounting points for swivel mechanisms, auto-return columns, or castor bushings (Ø 11 mm B2B standard).
