Metal bar stool frames – manufacturer

We have been manufacturing metal bar stool frames since 1995 for furniture manufacturers and interior fit-out companies across Europe. The entire process – tube bending and welding, powder coating and final assembly of components – is carried out in a single factory, to your drawing, sample or 3D scan.

Our range covers three main types: frames for bar stools; frames for counter stools – lower stools for kitchen islands and low counters – in three construction variants (sled base, four-leg and double-sled); and pedestal-base frames for stools with a gas lift or fixed height. We handle orders from 25 pcs up to series of thousands.

Bar stool frames

We make frames for bar stools intended for high bar tops and bar counters. A taller seat means higher dynamic loads on the structure, so we pay particular attention to frame rigidity and weld quality. Frames are powder coated in our own plant (RAL palette, fine textures, matt and gloss), and on request we also offer electroplated finishes in cooperation with trusted partners.

Counter stool frames

Counter stools are lower seats for kitchen islands and low counters. We make frames for them in three construction variants. See the comparison table of metal stool frames: comparison

Metal bar stool frames – typical constructions

– cantilever

A frame bent from a single continuous tube, with arcs flowing smoothly into one another, on a cantilver-type base. This construction is particularly well suited to freeform tube bending: different radii are made with one set of tooling, and the shape is changed in software, without ordering new tooling. The typical material is high-strength Ø25 mm tube. The footrest can be fixed or, in this construction, height-adjustable via holes in the front legs – typically used e.g. in education, where one frame has to suit different seat heights in different classrooms.

Cantilever metal bar stool frames - powder coated

Cantilver bar stool frame made of Ø25 mm bent tube in high-strength steel – designed and made in our factory

– Four-leg

A classic, stable metal construction with four legs, usually with cross-bars and an integrated footrest or a separately mounted stiffening ring. It works well where stability and simple, repeatable assembly in large series matter. The most commonly used materials are Ø18, Ø20 or Ø22 mm tube, or 20×20×2 mm square tube.

metal bar stool frame with stainless steel footrest

Bar stool frame with a separately mounted stainless steel footrest, designed and made in our factory to fit the customer’s molded seat shell.

– Sled base

A base made of two sleds combines stability with a light, open look. The ends of the sleds are fitted with floor glides chosen to suit the type of floor. Typically made from Ø10/Ø12 mm rod, or Ø14 mm tube where extra stability is needed.

Sled base metal bar stool frames black from rod

Metal stool frames on a double-sled base made of Ø12 mm rod, powder coated – built for a HoReCa (hospitality) customer, backless version, designed for a flat plywood seat.

– Swivel

For swivel and height-adjustable stools we make metal stool frames with a column on a base plate (usually a flat base in a shape specified by the customer, e.g. round, oval or square). The column is typically available in two versions:

  • with a gas lift: seat height adjustment,
  • fixed height.
Swivel stool with round footrest

Example design that can be produced in our factory: metal swivel stool base with a seat swivel mechanism and a brushed stainless steel foot ring.

Both versions can be made with or without swivel, and the swivel version is also available with an auto-return option, i.e. the seat returns to its starting position by itself. Seat mounting elements are adapted to the seat unit, bucket seat or molded shell specified by the customer.

The swivel and lift mechanism can be specified by the customer, and we can also advise on the choice. We most often carry out the final assembly of the mechanism ourselves as part of the order.

Footrest manufactured in premium quality

Metal footrests for stools are made as integrated parts of the frame or as separate components – e.g. when the footrest should be made of more resistant materials or coatings: stainless steel or chrome-plated footrests, round (foot rings) or as part of the frame (a bar), to the customer’s specification.

FAQ

Most common questions about metal bar stool frames

What is the difference between metal bar stool frames and counter stool frames?

Seat height, matched to the height of the counter. Bar stool frames are typically 75–80 cm and suit high bar tops and counters; counter stool frames are 65–70 cm and suit kitchen islands and lower counters.

What constructions of counter stool frames do you make, and from what materials?

In three variants: cantilever (frame bent from a single continuous tube, typically high-strength Ø25 mm), four-leg (Ø18, Ø20 or Ø22 mm tube, or 20×20×2 mm square tube) and sled base (Ø10/Ø12 mm rod or Ø14 mm tube). Other dimensions and profiles are made to the customer’s design.

Do you fit the swivel and lift mechanism?

The mechanism can be specified by the customer, and we are happy to advise on the choice. We most often carry out the final assembly of the mechanism ourselves as part of the order.

Do you make footrests for stools?

Yes, either as an integrated part of the frame or as a separate component: round (foot ring) or in the form of a bar, made to the customer’s specification. Where the footrest has to be more resistant, we use stainless steel or a chrome finish.

Can the footrest be adjustable?

In the cantilever construction the footrest can be fixed or adjustable via holes in the front legs. This solution is used e.g. in schools, so that one frame can serve different seat heights in different classrooms.

How do you finish metal bar stool frames?

By powder coating in our own plant (RAL palette, fine textures, matt and gloss), and on request also with electroplated finishes in cooperation with trusted partners.

Can you make a frame to our own drawing or sample?

Yes – to a drawing, 3D model, sample or 3D scan.

What is your minimum order quantity?

From 25 pcs up to series of thousands.
